Diem-diem ternyata Skandar itu selain jago akting, dia juga jago ngarang lhoh. Bahkan dia pernah lomba mengarang se-London dan dia juara 1 !! WOW~ pastinya pengen tau dong hasil karangannya kayak gimana? ini dia :

Oke, Jadi ini dia tulisannya :

It was January when I first went to have an audition for ‘The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe’ in a rented-out church. I was the last person of the day and because of my late arrival, due to the heavy traffic, we only had five minutes in the room before we were chucked out, which meant I had to do the rest of the audition in lifts and along stairways. I remember being asked questions such as ‘Where do you go to school?’ or What do you do in your spare time?’ - the sort of questions I suppose they ask to try and work out what sort of a person you are. Thankfully, they liked me and I got through to the next round.

On the Monday, there was a workshop with loads of other people who were auditioning for the same part as me. For this reason, I felt most uncomfortable. We had to join groups and do certain exercises and improvisations. Despite feeling awkward, things went well enough for me to be given the whole script and to be recalled the next day for a read-through with three other children. I liked the script - my character was funny and he had a sarcastic sense of humour.

On Wednesday of that week, the readthrough took from 2 o’clock - (yes, I missed the afternoon of school) - till 8 o’clock. Afterwards, I went home and rested. Excitingly, they called me back again for Saturday to meet the director and to read and act some scenes from the script. The round after this was practically filming for a whole Saturday in a warehouse studio. I was fitted into my costume, put on set with the other children and they filmed me with proper cameras and lights. It was such an enjoyable experience that when I left, I don’t think I would have cared much if I hadn’t got the part - but of course I still had my fingers crossed!

The next Friday morning, I was sitting on the bus on the way to school and it was raining - a really horrible day. My mobile phone went off. I quickly answered. It was the director, calling all the way from New Zealand and he told me I’d got the part! I would be filming for six months in New Zealand and then another three weeks in January. School never seemed so good.

As I sit on the number four bus to and from school, I can see what London Means to me. On the way into school in the early hours of the morning, I see the sun gently rising in the east as it illuminates our wonderfully multicultural city. I pass through a variety of areas, from housing estates to mansions and luxury apartments. I see all different people from every walk of life. At Highbury & Islington station, I see the jolly European builders (with paint-splattered overalls and all with their heads bowed due to obvious height constraints) sit down alongside the bankers (with their highly maintained suits). At the Angel, I see other school children from every school intermingling amongst each other, united by the common enemy of school.

I pass through roaring high streets, where you would be hard stretched to find ten quiet metres, and then into back alleys that are riddled with opinionated graffiti. As my bus progresses through the City, you can see nearly every type of sight there is to see about London.

On the way home, I see almost the same sight but the main difference is that now people, winding down, are preparing for another day. With a setting sun on their backs, the diverse people of London, tired from a hard day’s work, get back on my bus and head home.

What London means to me is a bus route, that takes me to and from school, and takes so many others along with their life. It shows London for what it truly is, a combination of people from so many different origins. London to me is a weekday morning on the bus, with people sitting side by side. A group of people that as little as fifty years ago, would never be sitting together, that would be scattered around the world. This to me is an achievement, that has been made by our modern city, that so many other cities should also encourage. This is what London is to me, an achievement.
